Google Docs Customer Reviews (1)
Google Docs is one of the most heavily used and relied on platforms. It’s something I’ve been using for years and honestly can’t imagine what working without it would be like.
Pros of Google Docs
File Sharing and Editing
Thanks to Google Docs, I can share files and documents with co-workers and clients in an instant. All one needs is their email!
Upon opening their Google Docs, they’ll be able to see the files you shared as well as any folders. Files are shared online meaning that you don’t actually upload and download them. This means that everyone is always looking at the latest version of the document and avoiding the emailed "version nightmare"
You can turn off link sharing if you choose to stop sharing at any point. This means you are always in control of who has access to the information.
The people you share files with will be able to edit them. It’s a great way of getting work done. As part of a group, each person can do the modifications required of them.
Free and Easily Accessible
If you’re already on Gmail, you can access Google Drive which is where the documents are stored. You can also download the Google Docs app to your phone or use it from your desktop.
Online Storage
I never had to worry about taking files with me on a flash drive or emailing them to myself. I know that by copying them to Google Docs, I can access my documents wherever I go.
Google Docs Cons
As the documents are stored in the cloud, you need to be aware that your info is residing on someone else's system. It is important to understand that should your Gmail password be compromised, your Google Docs will be accessible from anywhere in the world.
